I read an article which a designer decorated a ceiling using contact paper. I would like to try this. Has anyone ever used this technique or heard about this? What’s your thought on this?

My absolute favorite things are stars and rain lol so i want to do something like decorate my ceiling with stars and one of my walls with rain drops. I cant paint it cause were renting a place so how can i do this? I just want something that resembles the sky at night just so i can look at it. How can i do this!? Any ideas welcome!

It’s quite a large room, will have around 100 guests. I’d love to cover the ceiling with chinese paper lanterns hanging down but find it’d be too expensive. Any ideas or links to websites? I cant find anything!

Chris We are painting my 16 year old son’s room khaki. What do you think about a black ceiling? He has a khaki and black Eddie Bauer comforter and sheets. The third color in the room is red. Although the comforter looks sophisticated, would a black ceiling give the room an edgy feel?

I’m thinking about several restaurants that we’ve been to that have black ceilings, mainly to minimize pipes, etc. that are not covered. It is effective in those situations, but I don’t know how it will look with a light fixture in the middle of the ceiling.

I want to decorate the fan blades in my children’s room. I’ve seen some on ebay and other places but don’t know how to do it. Any suggestions? I want them to look professional and am not an artist so I can’t do murals.

I’m in multicultural club at my school and every year we make a new ceiling tile or two that we decorate themed with a specific country. This year we’re going to paint one about France. We already have some general ideas like with baguettes, and the Eiffel tower, the Louvre pyramid or cheese and wine. But I don’t know what else it should be decorated with. What would be some other ideas that I can put on the tile?
